Overview
The WISPM Sacred Choir is a dedicated body of Choristers within the church, set apart to minister through inspired songs that uplift worship and glorify God the Almighty. Its focus goes beyond music – it is a spiritual calling to use voices as instruments of praise, edification, and encouragement for the congregation and assembly of God’s children. (The Church)
The Sacred Choir leads in hymns, sacred choruses, and other spirit-filled songs during general assemblies, special programs, and events, helping to create an atmosphere of reverence, unity, and deep connection with God. The Sacred Choir serves as teachers, as Inspirers, as service table setters, as encouragers, and as evangelists to the body of Christ and to the world at large.
- Lead congregational songs and worship and other church based events including but not limited to weddings, burials, vigils, crusades, baptisms, anniversaries, summit gatherings etc.
- Teach music to the congregation and youths.
- Inspire the congregation with melodious sounds and prepare hearts for the message.
- Evangelize the gospel through inspired songs, bring healing, deliverance and repentance through the songs presented to the congregation.
National choir seminars are annually where all choir members come together for times of refreshment and commitment, also to learn and build on Christ.
The choir carries out periodic training on various musical instruments targeted at youths and children, building the next generation of musicians in the church.
Open to all who have a passion for music and a desire to serve, the choir welcomes singers of various experience levels. Rehearsals are a time of spiritual growth, camaraderie, and artistic expression, as members prepare to share the gospel through song in each service and special events throughout the year.
